Is being fit actually life changing and does it even matter?!

I got a comment on one of my shorts today which spurred me to write this Substack post.... will also be making a video on this topic but let me know what your thoughts are because I feel verrrry passionate about it!

@KorahWatson

In my personal experience, it DEFINITELY changes things! (Chnages for the better) And it does matter. For SO many reasons. I wouldn't be able to explain in just a comment.

Absolutely yes!! The opposite is also true. Losing fitness also has a huge impact on your life…

being fit can be life changing coupled with the fact that you take advantage of it and enjoy the things that come with it. you cant feel happy if you dont choose to.

It depends on the person, but it'd possibly be life enhancing or extending

It depends a little bit on what you mean by fit. But here a few thoughts. It allows you to have a wider range of abilities and more avenues to experience the world. It allows you to help more people and be able to show care and love to others. It can help prevent illnesses and give you more ability to fight the illnesses you have. It can provide us with more strength and energy to meet the needs of the day. It can promote both physical and mental health and well-being. It helps us care for the beautiful, amazing bodies that God has given us.

It's definitely life changing! Two years ago I could barely walk up the hill. Now I can run, cycle with my kids, play football with them, etc. It's the absolute best thing I could have done for myself and my two kids

As someone who was fat: it changes everything! Especially energy and confidence level. I basically just love doing stuff now while I was a real couch potato before and seriously missing out on life.

Being fit absolutely matters. You don’t have to be ripped, but the health benefits are tremendous. I wish, Lucy, you would’ve mentioned that in your article.
