Ergot; a fungal rust on grain crops, as I recall, that produces LSD like effects! Then contemporary historical documents recorded those effects many times during the Middle Ages but of course its cause wasn't necessarily detected and certainly not understood! 🇨🇦 🍁 🇨🇦 🇪🇺 🏤 🌾 🏤
