On this momentous day, in which everyone gives you the nicest words they have to say, I wish to express my love and gratitude, but in my own special way; For I haven't the presents or a delicious cake, nor any grand speeches I could make; Only these few words, for which your happiness I hope they make. I’ve never had a friend like you, and theirs nothing that could ever make those words untrue; For the blessing that was in meeting you, was even greater than I knew. I know there’s things that aren't fair, and so many things for which you have to bear; Despite all that, I’ll still be there, for reasons only a friend would even dare. Cherish the joys of today, and remember our love, I pray; for you are the gift, on every birthday!
