Hey, uh tech nerd here, you know exactly where it failed? Depending on what still works you can harvest parts like the ram and storage which are getting pricy and you'd have your old stuff, your motherboard would have 4 lights to tell what thing doesn't work if that itself isn't fried, doesn't mean everything is fried but can make it annoying to test everything individually if you don't have a backup machine

is there any surge protection on the network cable? a lot electricity can go through that too, it's what fried my brother's pc a few years back

My PC just got completely fried on a random power surge despite 2 layers of surge protection. Luckily enough, I finished my next video just last night! It's going up in less than an hour.
