Rick's Creations

Thank you all so much for your feedback on my previous post! I'm delighted to hear that so many of you are interested in The Cartographer's Tome of Tumiun, a compendium of all of the art, maps, lore and more I've created for Tumiun over the past ten years, told from the perspective of the man who mapped it all. I have already started putting together a Kickstarter campaign, and will be releasing a video about it sometime in the coming weeks, before it actually goes live. In the meantime I'd love some feedback on these cover concepts I quickly put together. These are just temporary placeholders but I'd love to hear which vibe you prefer the most, let me know in the comments below! Thanks so much <3

It's 1 for me. Not only does the darker colouring make me feel like I'm sitting in an armchair right next to a fireplace, but the touches of colour on the continents invokes a feeling of immensity, mystery, and a desire to know all the more about it, almost as if the cartographer himself is showing you a sliver of his much larger masterpiece.

I like 2, it reminds me of the feel and vibe of the old maps and written stories. The 3rd is also pretty cool. I like the idea of showcasing a slice of this fantastical world, a grand scene. Love it!

1 looks the most like an atlas, and the colour scheme is very appealing

2 is so esthetically pleasing while looking like a great adventure

1, it looks like a wizards tome

1 or 2. I’m leaning more towards 1. 3 is nice, but for me doesn’t quite fit with the “Cartographer’s Guide” title.

I love 1! It feels like an old journal from a traveler or an explorer ☺️

The style of 1 and 2 seems cooler to me. I'd say I prefer 1

@Great_Value_Jesus

#1, gives the vibes of an old school atlas

@SirShtrumz

Definitely #1 It’s a cover that I would pick up in the store and wonder what’s inside because it has that older book look with the yellow and browns.

1 jumps out to me the most, but 2 is a close second

@DormantPsych

1 & 2 fits the world best to me, preferrably 2 IMO. 3 looks cool but every book nowadays has covers similar to that.

2 has a cleaner vibe to it

2 because the contrast is easier for me to read! Love them all tho!!

As the book is written by the cartographer himself, there should not be an artwork on the cover, but a map. I prefer version 2! I think i suits the cartographers vibe the most! All three are good designs, but 2 nails the tone of the book! 👍

The second cover gives me more your channel vibes as I love so much the color of the paper that you used for the map in the cartographer video, but I also don’t mind the first cover: it catches more the attention. I can’t decide between those two! Anyway, I can’t wait for this guide!!! 🤩😄
