The only advice I can give you is to do what you enjoy. If you start getting too worked up over what's next or are second-guessing yourself, remember why you made your channel - so we can enjoy watching you enjoy these games. I don't envy your position. I found you by getting a random VotV video recommended (I think day 23) and remember reading a comment from you, wondering why YouTube would recommend an episode where pretty much nothing happened over the others. Since then, I've gone and watched the entire series, not just because I enjoyed your manner, playstyle, and editing, but also because the game was a curiosity in itself. I also watched some of your Deep Rock Galactic content, because I love the original game and found it enjoyable. As long as you find a game that you genuinely enjoy as much as VotV, I could see myself giving it a try.

I can't really say my opinion is the right one, it's.. very open on how to interact with YouTube. And I also don't know for sure if your income depends on your channel's success. It may be relevant for the final decision. But at the core of video-making, at least for me, is to have fun with the games you play. The views will come, even if YouTube doesn't push your content as hard or if people don't seem interested in a specific gaming series. Eventually you'll hit a golden goose, you may decide to milk it, and that's that. After it, your views might tank a bit, but given enough time, effort, and fun, I'm sure the overall chart of your channel will still be going uphill. Me, I'll be sticking around, watching some games I don't know and seeing if they're interesting enough to keep watching. VotV is definitely one of those interesting series, geo-smth was not as attractive but I still watched most of your videos on it. I hope this will help you come to a decision, coming from a fellow game-tuber.

I really wanted to watch your Geodepths videos because it sounds like a game I would like. I just have had all my YouTube time taken by other stuff. Sense you're not planning to be a votv only channel, you may just need to accept the view drop as inevitable. It will take time to get regular viewers for anything you start.

The algorithm giveth and the algorithm taketh. Just play what you want. Put out content and people will watch what interests them. I'd say try not to focus on the min maxing.

I think you're the most entertaining when it comes to "horror". Currently the tier list of series I'd set up is: dish washer game, votv, content warning, geogaming. If I had to place it: there is a tension in the long form horror games and you don't play anything up. So it's refreshing, from the more boisterous youtubers

I am loving votv and dish washer but I'm not the bigest fan of geodepts game bc it was grindy but its OK. I suggest start finding next sucesor of votv so I'm for the votv vid then other vid.

I get it it's really hard to find any other game that'll go better than votv, even "bigger" YouTubers have an issue like this were one game takes off but this issue seem to occur a lot with votv as it is a very specific neesh that people like me and others who like somewhat spooky and mysterious games. votv fills that neesh and gets constant updates so I would imagine trying to find other games that fill that neesh like - the long drive (a long form game that's all about driving through a desert) signal simulator (despite no longer getting updates its still fairly fun) and other somewhat spooky games. The only reason I suggest these games is due to the fact the more and more you upload games like dishwashing Sim and votv more people are probably gonna expect those types of games which means it will be really hard to try and upload anything not in the spooky comfy neesh. But of course in the end it is your channel, you could also try one-offs and if those get popular you could make a series outta them?

Tbh, VotV although eventful and fun, has limited content after day 40 as its a very very early alpha game. Your viewership rates are high because youre playing a niche game thats trending right now and you have a great personality and editing skills for it. Obviously, you cant do only VotV simply because youll run out of content and exhaust your subscribers with reliving the same stuff. Id take a break from VotV and just wait for the next big update scheduled in ~2months and do it hardcore solar mode. That way, when you start Solar Mode with the new update, you may have multiple series going on at the same time and all your VotV content will be unique since your Solar Mode gameplay will be completely unique when your competing against 20 other YouTubers starting with the fresh green atmosphere. In the meantime, some games I recommend to maintain your viewership and niche are: - Folklore Hunter - Mon Bazou (Niche game that fits the genre of quirky gameplay) - NEET - Urge - Chordosis (More polished spooky game) - The Werewolf Hills (Janky yet funny scary game) - Skinwalker Hunt Some of those games would require a significant time dump on your end to get good content from. (Chordosis/Werewolf Hills/Folklore Hunter) However some of them you can even make very long series out of which would be hilarious. (Mon Bazou, Skinwalker Hunt, NEET, and URGE)

IMPORTANT! Ok so i'm torn on what to do. Geodepths TANKED my average views per day. I have been recording "garage:bad dream adventure". But i'm not sure if i should play exclusively votv or if i should go for what i've been doing. (A different game every other day.)
Could use some insight from the people who actively watch my content. c:
ps: I rly wana replay skyrim with beautification mods but it seems like Tod Howard made it harder then every to even mod skyrim proper.
