This is a very unusual P&F. Bach almost never sets up an accompaniment figure to accompany a melody. While the left hand in the Prelude is busy, it largely acts as the accompaniment to the work of the right hand. The Fugue is also unusual in that it only has two voices. If you are looking for your first P&F to play, this one would make an easy entrance into the genre.
