Fun facts as well, my opinion on the Last of Us season 2 has only soured even more since it came out.

That literally looks like the list for the worst, not the best. Awards shows were already a joke before, now it's just the whole damn circus

A Last of Us entry controversially sweeping a Game Awards nomination is causing some serious déjà vu right now

The fact Twisted Metal Season 2 isn't on there is a CRIME. Such an entertaining season!

This entire list is like a bad joke. Nobody even liked or saw the Until Dawn movie, just makes it clear they’re only nominating stuff from companies they want to look good for, not because of quality. Not counting Sonic 3 is also more proof why making these December 11 and not after the damn year is over is a terrible idea.

So we got -A trash movie that comes off more as a disrespectful parody than a sincere love letter to fans -An anime adaptation that ended up being horrid because of the director's lack of knowledge about the game series -"Huh? That was a thing???" -Something related to The Last Of Us, which the Game Awards LOOOOVES to glaze on -A movie adaptation that was bad due to trying too hard to make the whole concept of "Progression based on your actions" work for a movie

As someone who saw sonic 3, the fact its not up is criminal. To my knowledge its still the best reviewed video game adaptation online, along with it being a really good adaptation of sonic adventure 2.

Ah yes, devil may cry, the adapation that throws out damn near the entire foundational lore of the video games

TBP has been hacked. There is no way TBP would ever say anything bad about anything related to TLOU.

I guess the Splinter cell series is probably the better ones this year.

Naughty Dog could release Superman 64 and I guarantee it would sweep the game awards fr

Even if it's for ironic reasons, the Minecraft movie has brought by far the most joy to the fanbase out of all these.

You know what game would make a good movie? Mirrors Edge. Especially in today’s world. The whole totalitarian aspect would make for a crazy story. In the second game, citizens of the city are called “employs” and society is based off of working for the government. Everyone is connected to a grid that tracks any and everything about an employ. Just one of the many super cool ideas that they had for that game. Catalyst is honestly one of those games that aged very well in retrospect. I’d definitely give it a go if you haven’t played it in a while

1 not getting nominated: ok a little oversight but otherwise understandable 2 not getting nominated: ok…. I don’t know what’s going on but atleast (insert sonic 3, twisted metal season 2, or fallout name here) was nominated All 3 not getting nominated:……I’m sorry harambe, your death was NOT worth this timeline

Its like this is highschool and there's a popularity contest with kids we never heard of and the parents are actually funding their popularity campaigns and no one cares who won.

Truly insulting for Until Dawn and The Last of Us Season 2 being nominated over Sonic 3 and Twisted Metal Season 2. TLoU season 2 didnt know what story it was telling and Until Dawn was just a mid horror movie that masqueraded as a video game adaptation with like 2 things from the game.

You know what's funny, a couple months ago I predicted that the Game Awards Best Adaptation was going to be a battle between Fallout season 2, Twisted Metal season 2, and Sonic movie 3 (which I haven't seen, but it got the most praise out of all three movies)
Seeing none of those adaptations get nominated is causing psychic damage to me right now.
What's causing even more psychic damage to me right now is the fact that The Last Of Us season 2, a season of television that fails as an adaptation and as any level of quality television generally is nominated. Let's be honest, it's probably going to win too.
(I've also heard the Devil May cry adaptation was pretty bad, but I wouldn't know)
