I can't believe I'm saying this. I had basically given up hope a week ago.
It turns out spamming YouTube support for two weeks straight *does* work, even if they kept insisting it wouldn't. Seriously, the solution wasn't anything special, I just kept asking for the same thing (my counter notifications should be resubmitted and then forwarded) over and over again.
Having a YouTube channel near-death experience really has given me a newfound appreciation for how lucky I am to have this channel and online following. I've been depressed and unproductive for two weeks straight, but I am now incredibly motivated to work on stuff again.
