Yikes. Yeah cheering on the death of others, especially victims of a natural disaster, is gross. Thanks for posting a link to a relief group.

It goes the otherway too. Regardless of what you believe in, no fellow American should have the destruction of their lively hoods, let alone their own lives be celebrated just because of any assumed differences. It just shows how low we have fallen. I hope we can bring this country back together as humans.

It shocks me seeing comments from people I thought were my friends cheering for this saying Texas deserves this because we voted for someone they don't like.

For god's sake they're your fellow Americans! Other Americans are not your enemy! The enemy of America are the enemies of freedom and democracy!

Hey, don't let the crazy folk get you down too bad. For every narcissistic sociopath on twitter there's at least 10000 more people with their heads screwed on straight. Iirc the biggest shitstirrer was a pediatrician who just got fired for her statements.

Yeaaaaaaaah, turns out progressives can be just as hateful and lack just as much empathy as they claim conservatives do. No matter what side of the aisle they are on, people are people, and people really suck sometimes

Where are the people making the claim that people dying in a red state is a good thing?

If the blame for the handling of this disaster belongs anywhere, it belongs on the head of the government that cut FEMA funding, not on the people who are experiencing the consequences of said FEMA cuts. The people who are calling this "karma" for voting for Trump are stupid. It is a fact that Trump's government made those cuts to FEMA, and Trump is therefore somewhat responsible for the mishandling of this and other natural disasters he has led our country through. But no matter where we are on the political spectrum, we have a duty to our fellow human beings to respect and honor that shared humanity. Nobody deserves to die because of who their state's electors voted for, and death does not discriminate.

If you think that people dying in a natural disaster is a good thing just because they live in a red state, re-evaluate your life. Political brain-rot at its finest.
Please donate if you can, God bless
