Navigating the Spectrum

Hi everyone! I have an exciting announcement.
I will be making a Q&A video with another autistic content creator! You’ll have to watch the video to find out who it is☺️

If you have any autism related questions, please leave them here in the comments. I will pick three questions and my collab partner and I will both answer them in the upcoming video.
I’m excited to see what questions you have for us!

This is something on my mind atm. The difficulties about feeling your emotions and ways of recognising your own emotions when you can't feel them. Sorry not sure how to phrase it in a question, I didn't sleep the last 2 nights 😅. Looking forward to the collab ☺️

With a lot of us after many years of adulthood finally coming to the realization we are autistic. Some able to get officially diagnosed. The cost for adult diagnosis in the United States is high. The availability for adults is tough to get and you need to be on a wait list in many cases. Is there something our community can do to push for easier access and help? We have an extensive and growing group of smart adults. We need more groups that can advocate. I believe we can see things building as more speak up about their experience. It's frustrating the only focus is children which should have representation but us adults who masked it into our adulthood have been forgotten. Many don't have the means or ability to get diagnosed if it's something they choose to do. How can we help each other more in the coming years?

How do I believe in my own self diagnosis? It's been at the forefront of my mind for YEARS at this point, and often in public I have no doubt in it. But occasionally at home I feel scared because my autism knowledge is all self taught from the internet. Typically speaking, (Haha) most people would find this an invalid way of living your life, but I've heard many many times the autism community accepts it, and as I said so do I. Can I ever be sure in my own self diagnosis? And will self diagnosing ever be enough for my neurotypical peers/SHOULD it be considered enough to self diagnose? Especially after years of forethought.
