bad news: I think I just discovered a fatal flaw in my "The Complete Xenoblade Timeline"-video upon spontaneously deciding to rewatch it. Feels bad :( I guess it could still work with some caveats, but it'd be extremely unlikely to be the case. I'll explain the mistake I made in the following, SPOILER:
SPOILER:
I stated in the video that Elma arrived on "New Earth" where she warned people and started a 2nd Project Exodus. However, and this is my big mistake, the end of "Future Redeemed" clearly shows Elma (or someone) arrive on the "Recombined Earth", not a new one.
So, unless Takahashi has Elma visit "Recombined Earth", then has her exist for thousands of years, then has her visit "New Earth", it's pretty likely my theory doesn't match up anymore. Tbh, I'm surprised neither myself nor anyone else has noticed this big flaw!
I will try to think about it all some more, about which parts can be salvaged (I still think it's likely that Origin turned Earth into Mira OR is at the very least the cause of Mira's existence), and then we'll see how that goes. If I can come up with something I'm really confident in, I might do an updated video. But until then you now know what's going on. Time for your theories!
bye bye
Edit:
The only way my theory could stay alive is if the cut here in "Future Redeemed"'s ending cutscene that happens at 4:27 is actually a troll-move by Takahashi and switches from "Recombined Earth" to "New Earth" without telling us. But that's a high dose of copium on my part, lol.
