I do feel like it depends. If you're like, "this is Steve, and he is a wheelchair user who is kind" that's odd. However, I often call two of my OCS the "op gay guys". I believe this is because you don't want it to be their defining trait. In 2, it is obviously a joke. In one, it is the first thing you say and therefore the first thing that comes to mind. I also call wisp a nervous wreck but I also feel like that's lowk different.
