The Koerner Office Podcast - Full Episodes

Reminder: Your kids are in school today learning the same skills that AI can already do better than a human.

I don't know what to do with that information, but it's something I think about daily.

My son attends an entrepreneur focused (private) school. He’s 6. He’s already built apps using Lovable & Bolt. The first app was building a prototype for an AI powered ocean floor cleaner. HE’S 6. He built an AI app to formulate various juice recipes based on your mood. Again, he’s 6. And that’s not even scratching the surface. Alpha has already produced kids generating millions in businesses they’ve built (they’re not all tech based). Shout out to Alpha School (San Francisco location). Oh how I WISH I could be a little kid right now!

As a homeschooling mom, I can tell you that I'm focusing on things like science and history and finding his passions. We're already exploring ways to turn his passions into income, and we skipped the tedious math behind long division and fractions since he hates math anyway.

My kids are starting a pressure washing business. There are already drone washers and robotic surface cleaners in the business.

The school system and what is taught is way outdated. It served a purpose when originally created but it’s not serving our children now. I homeschooled the youngest 3 of my 5 children and only wish I knew I could have for my oldest two! And thank you for educating me, I’ve learned more from YouTube than I did in 14 years of school!

I’ve used AI for work and found multiple issues with the data and information it’s spat out — even simple math and data that can be extracted from a P&L for example. AI is good, but not perfect, so I wouldn’t allow it to teach my kid EVERYTHING since that information can easily take someone down the wrong path.

David, develop an AI learning agent setup. A command agent to evaluate student learning modes and give sub agents teaching instructions with subject experts as sub agents.

@leiandruu

That leads us to question a human being's worth. And what does it mean to educate a child? Is it only to provide the skills necessary to succeed in the market?

I’ve encouraged my 15 year old son to use ChatGPT. His public school teacher sent a note that he was using it to help him write. I think I’m supposed to care.

What would you advise our kids to learn instead of?

You last video upload seems to have disappeared , was this a tech glitch , strike or manual take down?

@285jaymz

Children shouldn't learn anymore. No value in that whatsoever 😂
