For risks to be taken especially in regards to kids movies. For example, I hope the Super Mario Galaxy movie will be similar to Sonic the Hedgehog 3 in terms of being a more serious video game film because Galaxy is a more serious game and Rosalina is a complex character with a tragic backstory just like Shadow the Hedgehog. We don’t need another safe kids movie like the 2023 Mario Bros film and also Illumination’s other movies, and rather they need to step up in quality and actually try. Video game adaptations don’t need to follow the template of A Minecraft Movie in not caring about the intelligence of the audience.

I would say movies nowadays should be less afraid of test audiences, if the complaint is that the story doesn't make any sense, that's a fair thing to take into consideration, but if the criticism is that the story is too complicated for the general audience to understand, what is actually being said is that your movie requires braincells to understand, which often points to movies trying to dumb down their messages and themes, adding dialogue to point out stuff that would've been better as a show don't tell, there are plenty other examples of test audiences nowadays just wanting standard Hollywood slop, another Marvel movie with jokes that only would make people with one braincell laugh and no morals outside of good is good, and bad is bad, most people say they want originality in movies, but I think movies that come from franchises can still be masterpieces if you aren't afraid to explore stuff, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and the Spider-Verse movies are considered ultra great to most people, and both of them come from franchises, it's what you do with your characters that matters, and how afraid you are of the test audience that makes you adjust the script to be easier on the eyes of one braincelled people

Movies that arent afraid of being unique. Many movies now are repeats of repeats. Take a concept and build on it till you create something unlike anything else. Christopher Nolan is an excellent example of concept movies.

Good movies- XD But in all seriousness maybe like an actual decent film, with the quality clearly there. In my opinion if the movie is newer than 2021 then it probably sucks

Timeless themes, good writing, and love put into a project and not just something pumped out of the Machine to Make Money. I wanna watch Art that makes me think about what its trying to tell me. Not slop that tells me what to feel at what point as if checking off boxes on a list. (Srry can u tell that I’ve thought of this often lol) Also something fun! (yeah too broad I know hahaha)
