Good news: it's fixed. Bad news: it was ok when it left their factory. Good looking printer. Very curious your thoughts on print quality, artifacts, and their reasoning for using Kickstarter... Again. So many millions of dollars. They don't need kickstarter IMO. But it works. So I get it.

I was almost there to back the kickstarter... then i remember my rule n.1: never preorder. I'm not sure it will be at the same level of quality and durability of bambus, i appreciate the open-source and repairability tho. The other issue is that snapmaker doesn't have a good reputation

Doa and you had to fix it! I know this community loves to fix these things but come on if it arrives broke then you should have sent it back and let them deal with that headache!

So let me get this right, you get a defective 3d printer under warranty, instead of demanding a new unit, you decide to fix it your self ? Why! That's not a very smart move, so what happens when the printer craps out after warranty duy to bad quality workmanship then what do you do spend your own money to fix it ? Send it back let them deal with there fuckups, they should be paying you to fix there problems... crazy.
