Honestly, I'm not sure I want Ulysses himself as a companion, but not having a Caesar's Legion leaning companion (along with the rest of the missing Legion content) was a loss for the whole game.

He was cut because he yapped so much that it couldn't fit in the disc. I can't remember if it was Sawyer or avvelone that said his cut dialogue filled up like 30 percent of the disc Space
