Our Earth and our bodies are both projections of a higher reality that the ancients called “Eden,” “Heaven,” “the Platonic Realm,” and many other names. This higher realm was seen as the base or true reality, while the Earth was viewed as the Underworld or fake reality. In essence, according to the ancients, we live in a simulation—a deepfake version of reality. According to the ancients, the body was seen as a deepfake of the soul, and the Earth was seen as a deepfake of Heaven—both being distorted reflections of the true, higher reality.
Plato’s Allegory of the Cave explains this concept well. Our body is a refracted reflection of our soul—a distorted projection of our higher consciousness. Your soul is to your body what your body is to your shadow. When the soul departs this Earth, the body fades away like a shadow disappearing when the person casting it steps out of the light.
The Great Fall of Man was another way of describing humanity’s descent from the true, higher reality into the synthetic or simulated lower realm—from the base world to the underworld. The word sin (or syn) can be linked to words like synthetic, simulation, or simulacrum—fake versions of reality. This explains why man did not experience "sin" until after the "fall" from Eden.
In other words, according to the ancients, we are not experiencing the real Earth right now; we are living within an earth-like simulation.
