NFS Underground 1 featured a Toyota Celica with a special Mystikal livery and a Song called "Smashing the Gas" (Get Faster) in the game, just 1 year before he did the deed and landed onto the list of official sex offenders alongside the now deceased ex lost prophets singer *Ian Watkins!
(*Who tried to make love with a 1 year old child)

Lostprophets also got a special livery car featured in the game that can be seen on a R34 Skyline GT-R which also has aged like Yogurt in the sun over time!

What both cars have in common is the fact that they are quite slow in comparison to literally all of your custom cars, making them more or less a cursed unlockable in the underground mode nowadays!

Why am I laughing about this?
Because I got both of them!

Happy birthday Playstation 2!
It's been 20 years since you've been put on the NTSC Region market with many great games releasing years later!

Legends like Gran Turismo 3, Gran Turismo 4, GTA San Andreas, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, Test Drive Unlimited, Timesplitters and many more came out from which a majority of them became certified classics!
Still got mine in the basement with a disc reader defect which I still have to solve someday!

Remember the AV cables and SCART adapter that you plugged into your tiny CCTV with 4:3 Resolution?

This just in: The Hybrid Mode for The Crew 2 is out now on various platforms!
You can now transfer your online safe into the offline mode, but not the other way around!
You can however still update your offline savefile how often you want by overwriting the old one by using the safefile feature in the options menu!

Currently focusing more on car liverys & other games to pass the time towards the GT7 Spec III update!


Update 1.63 review follows:
I'll only cover the most important stuff as this post would otherwise become almost 3 pages long!
So without further ado let's talk about the new cars!

Hyundai Elantra:
Despite having some slight suspension issues which can be easily fixed by raising the car approximately above 120mm it's generally speaking a very good FF car!
Too bad that we don't have an engine swap available to make this car more versatile for endurance events where tyre and fuel consumption come into play!
But even with its default engine it's a fun and very playful car to lap around the Nordschleife against civics and golfs!
If you haven't gotten one yet, feel free to pick one up from the brand central as it's very cheap and has lots of tuning potential!

Mazda Roadster 2025:
If you already have the older model and still rolling your thumps about if this car is worth the money than you can just stick to the 2015 model without any regrets!
In its current form, the 2025 version is just a giant scam on wheels as it can't be upgraded at all in the tuning shop!
You can reverse engineer it to the base model in GT Auto or stretch the fenders there, but that's about it!
Hopefully this gets fixed in the next update because otherwise there's no reason to use this version of the Mazda Roadster over the older models which are far superior currently!

Honda RAV4:
Made a Police Cruiser out of this car as it kinda fits the theme for hunting down criminals!
Not sure if we get a V8 engine swap in the future for this car as it's kinda underwhelming in its current form with mediocre customization and boring Widebodykit option which kinda removes the ability to make a taxi out of this car!
Handling wise it's just a generic SUV with not much to go for it in its current state!
At least we can swap out the gearbox and upgrade the engine enough to make it somewhat enjoyable to drive on smaller circuits!

Opel Corsa VGT:
Personally I'm not a huge fan of this car despite being nothing wrong with it at first glance!
It does have a rechargeable boost system which replenishes while braking a certain amount of miles, but it takes ages to fill it up again!
It's also electric, so kiss endurance races goodbye as it depletes very rapidly!
The other issue is that you can't adjust the suspension settings to make the handling of this concept car even better than it already is!
In its current form it feels a bit sluggish when the rear diffuser is not extended, which results in heavy understeer!
Not a neccessary purchase but at least we got the brand back!

Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40:
Not sure what went wrong after the exterior and the interior was finished during development, but as it stands right now it can't get the power down offroad without bouncing back and forth like a pogo stick on a trampoline!
If you saw my setup video a few days ago you're most likely aware of how weird the customization is on this car, with the typ b front bumper giving you extra front downforce while removing the spare tyre from the back giving you extra rear downforce!
The tyre size only increases when you put the widebodykit and aftermarket rims onto this old mountain climber and the engine swap is something for suicidals!
Despite the long list of awkward "features" it's a surprisingly good choice to clear out several 70s classic events and various offroad races in the game! The availability is time limited due to being a legendary dealership vehicle, which also means that the price may go up and down depending on how much value it still has IRL!

The swaps are kinda hit and miss with the Corolla being the stand out of this update!
Previously you could only get a 2JZ engine in GT Auto which was already a decent choice for more power if you want to stick to the manufacturer route!
Now you can just dodge this option entirely and put in a supercharged V8 from the challenger demon inside the engine bay!
With a proper setup it might become one of the quickest 750PP cars in the entire game!
4WD obviously included as standard!


All in all this update gets easily overshadowed by the spec 3 III announcement which officially releases in December... does this count as a birthday present for me?
Whatever it is, I'm looking forward to it!

Gran Turismo 7 receives a spec III update this December to celebrate over 100 million units sold of the entire GT Franchise!

This update includes the Yas Marina Circuit and the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve with 8 new cars to play around with on these new highly welcome additions!

Dunlop will be the official tyre sponsor during the 2026 season, which is just like michelin only a pure marketing campaign and nothing else!

The Data Logger returns from GT6, which means you can compare all your imputs that you've made during a lap on a graphic sheet and see how you can improve your performance against other players in real time!
This feature will likely be found in the pre-race menu where you can adjust your settings, watch some boring conversations from your GTWC KI driver and adjust some of your assist settings!

Car invitations are now unlimited in Brand Central!
So if you're still missing some invitation cars like the Enzo or Porsche Carrera GT you can now go there and buy as many as you like without any FOMO attached to them! (This was long overdue)

Collectors level was increased to I assume level 60!
Not sure how much it affects me as I already have every single car in the game!

Weekly challenges include now time trial challenges and more special events for more variation!
The opening movie was also changed!

New Seasonal Menu book... probably the battle pass for GT7 I assume!

New Circuit experiences for the new tracks that are arriving in the december update!

New scapes curations to shoot some photos of your favorite cars on new locations!

Improvements to online races, whatever that means?

As far as the new cars go, we have a new modern Ferrari GT3 Racecar for the Gr.3 category, the Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R, a new Formula Gran Turismo which features a high nose on the picture I have in front of me and a BNR R34 Mines Skyline GT-R... how much R34 do you want? Polyphony: Yes!

Nothing stated about a Physics update yet, so enjoy all of your favorite builds while they still work!

Mazda Roadster 25... OH WAIT, IT ALREADY HAS ONE!
(No Upgrades available at all! WTF Polyphony!?)

Opel Corsa VGT.... sigh, screw this car!
Give me a real corsa or astra to have something that I can actually work on!

In total we got 3 cars in this update that are actually upgradable!
The other 2 are just a total scam and should be avoided if you don't have much money laying around!

Wasn't satisfied with the mess I made on the 208 as I had not alot of time left before I went south IRL!
So I reworked the gearbox and adjusted some other things to bring this car back to my quality standards!
Should be more consistent across the board!
Especially on the Nordschleife :)
