This channel is a commitment to diving into media and uncovering the potential meaning of our favorite entertainment.
I am here to analyze what doesn't matter to better prepare ourselves for what truly does.
I may also make reaction videos, drawing shorts and reviews.

Just finished Dispatch. and I don't think I can overhype it; it's basically perfect. The best superhero story I've engaged with in the past decade. Gameplay was surprisingly involved, rewarding and fun.

If you're interested in it, please buy the game and make your own story. It's much better than to watch someone else's playthrough. (That said, I do look forward to perfecting and cinematizing my version--but not for a while, don't worry: more RDR to come).

Grateful for 40k! (For you guys, subscribers--not Warhammer)

I have given my future plans more thought and believe it's best to prioritize the Perfect Journal Playthrough, which I have yet to complete. By the time I hopefully reach 50k, I would love to do a livestream special celebrating that milestone by flipping through the FINAL, PERFECT Journal of the PJ Playthough, providing commentary, answering questions and taking feedback. Let's see how I am without a script! (But first, I must figure out livestreaming).

My plans after this milestone would involve playing through other games for footage that I'd need more time to do, hence the emphasis on the PJ. The upcoming projects include:

1. Continuing the RDR2 Mega-nalysis, of course. (Uncle is next).

2. Why Rockstar protagonists generally suck (which will tie in with Arthur, one of the exceptions, though I'll need to play all the games to verify my theory. I just know I hate Niko Belic who seems to embody all the standard problems with R* protagonists; RDR1 John included to some extent, though it's understandable there).

3. A Toy Story Analysis in November, in honor of the 30th Anniversary (and the fact that I already made a video for the 25th Anniversary, but it was too low quality for me to feel good about keeping it listed. So it'd be a remake, but with insights I didn't emphasize in the first go around).

4. A nearly hour-long analysis/rant/praise/frustration of Mission Impossible III. (I wrote the script a while ago but couldn't find the time to make it. I have a character arc mid-review.)

5. More western movie reviews, starting with Fistful of Dollars (which is free on YT at the moment).

6. Unpacking what Across the Spider-verse is really about: (you don't need more trauma).

7. Mass Effect videos of general assessment, perhaps one on which companions to bring to which missions, as that would serve as a solid story summary. (I would love to make a vid "defending" the Mass Effect 3 endings, but I didn't want to skip the trilogy to do so.)

Wherever we go, I'm glad we're going. Thank you so much making the dream viable.

I should utilize this feature more. Anyway:

Last night, I discovered my recording software wasn't capturing the audio of my last 2 hour session of Red Dead Redemption 1. On top of that, I overwrote the save and thus can't replay what I lost without starting over entirely. That was 9 hours of gameplay.

So I was miffed. Pissed. You might even say, fuming. The momentum was murdered, but it could be worse.

The reason I care is because I generally want to own all the footage I use because crediting people is only the right thing to do when borrowing other people's footage, and that'd be *a lot* of crediting to do if I didn't have my own high quality clips.

I decided greater transparency is best, so I'll try to post on the Community more. Thank you for being great engagers.

A new video emerges! Thank you so much for being the force that pushed me to finalize a project that's taken me years to complete. If you subbed for more content like the Spider-Man vid, then I believe you will enjoy this analysis on Captain America Civil War.
