💛 작은 나눔 이야기
오늘 출근길에 국제구호위원회(IRC)를 만났어요.
유튜브를 시작할 때, “언젠가 구독자 1000명이 넘고, 혹시 수익도 생기면 그 수익으로 먼저 후원부터 하자”고 생각했었어요.
그런데 오늘,
지금 이 순간도 누군가는 도움이 필요하겠단 생각이들었어요.
그래서 매달 2만 원, 크지 않지만 정성을 담아 후원을 시작합니다.
예전에도 굿네이버스를 통해 5년 동안 두 아이를(3년,2년)후원했던 기억이 떠올라서 더 특별하게 느껴졌어요.
후원은 내가 가진 게 많아서가 아니라,
마음이 움직일 때 시작되는 것이라는 걸 다시 한 번 느낍니다.
🌱 이 글이 누군가의 마음에 작은 씨앗이 된다면,
그걸로 충분합니다.

💛 A Small Story of Giving
This morning on my way to work, I came across the International Rescue Committee (IRC).
When I first started my YouTube channel, I told myself,
"Someday, when I reach 1,000 subscribers and maybe even earn a little income, I’ll start by giving back."
But today, I was reminded that someone, somewhere, needs help right now—not later.

So I decided to start donating 20,000 KRW (about $15) each month.
It’s not a large amount, but it comes from the heart.

It reminded me of the time I supported two children through Good Neighbors for a total of 5 years—3 years for one, 2 years for the other.
That memory made this new step feel even more meaningful.

오늘, 현충일의 의미를 다시 떠올리며 내 삶을 돌아봅니다.
누군가의 희생과 헌신 덕분에 누리는 평온한 일상에 감사하며, 저 역시 더 작은 것에도 감사하고, 주변을 위해 배려하고 나누는 삶을 살아가야겠다고 다짐합니다.
잊지 않고, 감사하며, 내 삶 속에서 그 의미를 실천하는 하루가 되길 바랍니다.

Today, on Memorial Day, I reflect on the meaning of this day and look back on my own life.
I am grateful for the peaceful days I enjoy, made possible by the sacrifice and dedication of others.
I remind myself to be thankful for even the smallest things, and to live a life of kindness and sharing with those around me.
May I never forget, always be grateful,
and strive to put the meaning of this day into practice in my daily life.
