Not a mistaken reupload, this is a new review.. I realized how poorly structured my old one was. Even if not many of you watched it, it didn't sit right with me, so I just remade it.

So on top of the Trove test server being online with the new update, today we also got a new event on the live server (it lasts a week).
I'll do my best to cover them as playing Trove is kinda my job, but if I'm being perfectly honest? The new Path of Exile 2 update drops today, so I'm planning on streaming it for a few hours first.

My plan for Trove videos is to stream the new event sometime today, and have a shorter video to summarize what you can expect in the new update AFTER I've finished PoE2.
I also want to have a sort of video dedicated to feedback for the new update, because I think we can all agree it's a weird one.. (it removes luxion in favor of some dumb weekly grind)

In the meantime, you can always watch my stream from the Trove PTS if you haven't already. The stream showcases the new update almost entirely, the only thing I didn't do was push to higher difficulty worlds.

Thanks for being patient! Dad life is keeping me too busy to cover everything as fast as I usually would.

Sorry about the huge amount of posted videos today, but that's it! I honestly didn't expect Nintendo to go THIS HARD with their announcements..

I'll slowly work on adding thumbnails to some of the videos, but if you want to catch the entire direct with my reactions (it was a good one), you should check it out!

Highlights include a new From Soft game exclusive to Switch 2, Silk Song (yes this is real), Enter the Gungeon 2, Mario Kart World and many more surprises.. I just hope I can pre-order the Switch 2 before they're all gone.. time to go wait in front of the store until they open!

Excuse me for the notification spam today everybody. The embargo just went up for Eternal Strands, so I figured I'd just post everything I had on the game, but that's everything (great game btw)!

TROVE EVENT HELMET:
Snowfest 2024 event actually gives a helmet for the final part of the event.. this helmet boosts the amount of Pristine Snow (event currency) you earn from dungeons.
I didn't even notice it because I accidentally loot collected it, so thanks for letting me know it exists! I was able to recycle it back into my inventory before it was too late, I'd suggest you do the same as I don't think there's any way of getting a second one.

I still plan on grinding / streaming the event, I just wasn't in the mood yesterday.. hopefully this helmet should make the grind a bit more bearable.

So I just wanted to take a moment to talk about the super lengthy Thief videos I just put up.
I don't expect them to be popular or anything, since they're a rather old game from 1999 (with "The Black Parade" being a mod from 2023).

These were full playthroughs I had on my second channel. I was a lot more relaxed and didn't bother making many cuts as the channel was an excuse to play the games I wanted to play, how I wanted to play them.. the intention was to create content without adding time to my already busy schedule, so it was a more "classic let's play" without much edits.

What I didn't count on was just how restrictive YouTube has gotten with regards to new channels.. it was VERY difficult to manage the YouTube side of things because a lot of core features I'm used to on this platform are locked for channels with low subscribers.

In the end I decided to abandon the second channel, but I didn't want the few videos on it to go to waste, so I decided to splice the entire playthrough into one long video and just upload it here to the main channel.
I'm sure it's gonna be terrible for my analytics, but ehhh..... screw YouTube analytics.

If you're even remotely interested in stealth games, I would recommend my Thief: The Black Parade playthrough, as Thief Gold isn't bad, but the game is.. well.. old. Black Parade however is a free mod made in 2023 and is honestly some of the best stealth levels I've ever experienced in a game in terms of pacing and secrets to discover.

Anyways, I just wanted to let you guys know why those videos suddenly showed up on the channel. They were recorded months ago so you might hear me talk about Elden Ring DLC and stuff.

Was I excited for the new Zelda? Sure. Did I expect to play for 8 hours straight? No.

I did my best to add timestamps for easy navigation, but because this stream is so long, YouTube will probably take a ridiculously long time to process it.. normally I would wait before publishing, but we're talking days, so I just decided to post it and not worry about it.

My first impressions of the game is it's just a joy to play. It's very cozy and chill, but there's a lot of really cool stuff going on, like fighting new enemies so you can collect them and use them in your next battle, or finding various furniture to summon in order to reach higher places.

But I was able to play so long because the game isn't over-stimulating, it's quite relaxed.
I'm looking forward to playing more soon, but for now, I'm going to grab some food and get ready for bed.
Understand that there might not be any other videos posted today since I don't expect to wake up until later tonight.

For those of you who watch this playthrough, thank you. But for those of you who plan to play the game yourself, please hold off on watching my videos so you can experience the joy of discovery for yourselves!
