Welcome to my channel, I produce railroad related content primarily focusing on Maine railroads and other New England lines, but on occasion I do upload videos covering railroads outside of New England and the US. The majority of my new videos are filmed with a Canon VIXIA HF G50 and are 4K 30 FPS, while my older videos between 2016 and 2020 are shot in 1080P 60FPS from a Canon VIXIA HF R800. My original videos were shot with one of two Canon powershot cameras which have since been retired (These cameras only shot in 480P).

Its been a few months since I uploaded last, unfortunately when my computer died I lost several complete projects I was preparing to upload. I am starting to get back into the swing of things, so at some point new videos will be released.
While it is still warm out, in the next video we will be going back to March of this year. I don't know when it will be finished, but in the next video we will be checking out the progress of the rebuild on the former Quebec Central Vallee Subdivision. Now owned by the government and operated by the Sartigan Railway, a massive project is underway to replace the existing stick rail on the active portion, with 115 LBS rail as well as a major project on the out of service portion from Vallee-Jonction to Thetford Mines. With a dozen bridge replacement projects among all kinds of other work ongoing, the video will be worth the watch!

I just figured I would give an update on the channel. My new computer is expected to arrive next week, I am hoping to start getting some new videos out in April once I learn how to use the new editor. There is plenty of stuff in the pipeline, so stay tuned for more.

Sorry for the lack of videos lately, the laptop I have used to edit videos for the last 8 years is finally on its way out. I have been anticipating this for some time and I have a much more capable desktop spec'd out. I am hoping to have my new equipment by the end of March, after which videos should be more frequent. I am also upgrading to Premiere Pro for a video editor, since Sony Vegas has outgrown my needs and Premiere Pro better suits my needs.
Anyway, keep and eye out for a new video at the end of the week covering Sappi-4 and WA-R on 9/11/2022.

As some of you know my grandfather, or Papa as I called him hasn’t been doing well the last few weeks. This morning he passed away at age 90. By all means my grandfather had a great life and accomplished more things than I could list here. He was also a brakeman and later a conductor on the Bangor and Aroostook for 42 years. He is also the one who got me hooked on trains by taking me for trips to see MMA (never caught anything moving sadly) and up to see the Guilford jobs in East Newport. Later on when his mobility went down hill our roles reversed and I was the one who was taking him on some much more elaborate railfanning trips. From 2015-August 2022 when he was no longer able to go on the long trips, he went with me on most of my railfanning adventures to northern Maine. Even afterwards he always liked to see the photos and videos I got. While he might be gone, he is in a better place now and I am thankful for all the time we shared.

New video tomorrow night, this one has been in the works for over a year but has been on hold due to technical issues. I think I have them all squared away, so the video should be working fine. Just a side note, if you follow me on Instagram, I wont be making posts anytime soon. I lost my two factor authentication code to get into my account and I am currently working to recover it. Unfortunately, Instagram offers no customer support outside of some trouble shooting, which makes the process unnecessarily difficult. I am still working on my Woodland video, hopefully that will be up next week as well. If you haven't been able to tell yet, my editing software has been acting up which has added to the delay in videos.

I have been busy the last few weeks, and forgot to mention that my channel turned 10 years old on the 5th! Its been a great ride so far and I still have tons of footage going back before I even thought about joining YouTube. My channel will be inactive for the next few weeks due to a family matter, but I expect to have some new content out before long.
