Hattori Hanzo and the Ninjas
About 400 years ago, it was the time known as Sengoku period, the era of samurai.
In 1582, the incident at honnoji, Oda Nobunaga’s death, the enemy Akechi’s next target was
Tokugawa Ieyasu. In order to escape, Ieyasu decided to go through Iga Mountains.
Hattori Hanzo asked 300 ninjas to support his lord and finally Ieyasu was able to go back to Okazaki castle safely with ninjas’ help. This is so-called “Shinkun Iga-goe”.
After that, Ieyasu collected 200 Iga ninjas at Narumi of Owari country (the Current Nagoya City), they are called “Narumi Iga-shu”.
Ninjas of a legend in Aichi come back alive now as Hattori Hanzo and the Ninjas !!
