I made pumpkin bread with my mom yesterday! We put chocolate chips in it like you recommended and it turned out so good! The ratio of pumpkin to chocolate chips is a little off. (There's too much chocolate and not enough pumpkin. XD) Next time we make it we'll adjust that. But it still turned out delicious! :D
Hi Artham! Here is the Griffin candle! :D I don't have it, so I don't know what it smells like but from the description, it sounds like it would smell amazing.
Oh Stars, I am so happy for you that you are growing, healing, and having these new opportunities in your life, but I am also sad because I don't want to lose you. I love you so much. You were one of the first friends I met on here. I will always have you in my thoughts and prayers. God has amazing plans for you. You are an amazing friend Stars. I am very thankful for the time we got to spend together having our long conversations. I will cherish those memories. I wish you all the best Stars. I love you and will miss you. 🥹💕💕 **hugs you tightly**
Are you still available on Pin or is there a better way to stay in touch with you? I would like to be able to reach out and talk to you if I can.
(And this is completely unimportant, but I think the Playlist link is wrong. It goes to a Leanna Crawford song instead. I just thought I would let you know.)
Okay, since everyone seems to be making a post, I'm going to make one too. I shouldn't be affected by this, but in the event that many of you will, (which I'm really hoping we aren't) I wanted to say something.
You guys have all been a blessing in my life. I wouldn't know what I would do without you guys. I am so grateful to God for bringing me to this community. You all mean so much to me. Thank you so much for the kindness and love you have shown me. I love you all and will always, whatever happens. 🥹💛 **hugs you all tightly**
Some of you I can still talk to on Pinterest, so please message me on there if you want. If you don't have the link to my account and would like it, just let me know and I can post it.
This is in response to Kal's post about the Andrew Peterson song and Blue Flower.
(I just going to be rambling while sharing my thoughts.)
Kal, you were talking about how C.S. Lewis used the blue flower as a symbol for Sehnsucht. Well that got me thinking about The Gray Havens song, Blue Flower, and Thags had mentioned that their album "Blue Flower" was inspired by Lewis' writings. I had listened to the song, Blue Flower before and liked it, but didn't fully understand the song because I'm not as familiar with Lewis' works.
After Kal had mentioned that Lewis used the blue flower as a symbol for Sehnsucht (which I didn't know before), I did a little research and found the origin comes from a German Romantic author and his unfinished novel about a protagonist who longs for an unattainable world, which then Lewis connects to our longing for Heaven.
Anyway, I listened to Blue Flower again and now I understand it more and it's wonderful. It's about Sehnsucht and the deep longing for something more. It's beautiful. 🥹💛
Anyway, as Artham says, thank you for listening to my rant.
@Artham-Iggyfeather28 Here is my character for Lady Artham's Ball. I got a little carried away with this, but I enjoyed writing it. :D
I am Lady Melissa. an Elven maiden daughter of a noble house, one of the Royal Weavers of the beloved Elven king and his wife. I live in the peaceful secluded Forest Kingdom of the North, just beyond the Seven Entwining Rivers, that flow into the Crystalline Bay before meeting the sea.
I am a Weaver, who works with the finest textiles and tapestries. My skill of hand in renown, but my true passion is the skill of pen and word. For I am a Storyspinner. They say the Elven Weavers, whether of thread or story, that they hold a special enchantment, weaving the visible strands of the most intricate embroidery, or the invisible tendrils of a summer’s tale. They are meticulous in every detail and emotion, effortless in their work. To most, it is a wonder not to be understood, but they say that if you sit and watch as they work or listen to their story, you may glimpse a light in their eyes, as the words they spin suddenly turn to a living dream right before your eyes and all reality is forgotten for as long as their story lasts.
Most days I like to go riding to the edge of the forest, and sit on the banks of the first river, listening to the current softly run over the unseen rocks. There is the sound of a waterfall in the distance and I can smell the salt of the sea, faintly on the horizon. Stories have been born here, written in overflowing pages. I have gotten lost in these woods, weaving many stories under the trance of the canopy’s dappled sunlight and the nightingale’s midnight lullaby. For I shall tell you a story now.
To my dearest friend Lady Artham,
It was on a day in late spring that I had first received your invitation. I was on the banks of the river, (the wild rose and jasmine are beautiful this time of year), contemplating the lull of it’s melody, writing my latest poem, when I saw a messenger coming up the road. It was Erion. He comes up about every three months or so to deliver letters to the surrounding kingdoms. To my surprise, he handed me a most exquisite letter, stamped with a red wax seal, and signed with a big monogrammed “A” on the front envelope. At first I was confused for I had never received such a letter before, but I was absolutely delighted to see that it was from you. So, well of course, I knew I had to attend. I hadn’t seen you in ages, since six summer’s ago at Mrs. Charlotte garden party. I set to work immediately making preparations.
At the first of summer, I set off down to where the river’s meet at Crystalline Bay where I arranged for a charming, but gentle Captain to take me to England. We have been on this ship for a little over a month, but I have enjoyed his company as we exchange stories of our various adventures. I have much to tell you of my travels out at sea, but those will have to wait for when I arrive. The stars are so much brighter out here. The night sky is so clear, a flawless reflection of the deep pool below.
We have now stopped at a harbour for supplies and for me to send this letter. (I contemplated putting it in a bottle and sending it out to sea, but figured it wouldn’t arrive in time. 😂) By the time you receive this letter, I should be on England’s shores, a day or two before the ball. Until then, I hope this letter finds you well.
Your Dear Friend, Lady Melissa

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAL! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🎉🎉🎊🎂
You are an amazing, funny, kind, caring, loving brother and friend. I am so blessed and grateful to have meet you over a year ago and to have you as a friend.🥹💛 Happy Birthday Kal! I hope you have a great day! 🥳 Love you! 💛 *Big hugs*
@Sketchrim_Brothership_of_Arts Hi Sketcher! Here is some LOTR fanart by Jenny Dolfen! Enjoy! :D (Also, I couldn't remember, but did you read The Hobbit too?)
1. Aragorn 2. The Professor, J.R.R. Tolkien (This is a picture that I think celebrates Tolkien's work as a whole. The people at the top are Beren and Luthien from The Silmarillion, but everything else is imagery from the Hobbit or LOTR.) 3. Three is Company; the hobbits, Frodo, Sam, and Pippin 4. Merry 5. Young Glorfindel and his horse Asfaloth ( @kalmarfanatic04 I thought you would like this one too.)
