Fan of platformers (2D and 3D), JRPGs, beat em ups, hack n slash, musous, metroidvanias, action adventure. Not a big fan of fighters, shooters, kart racers, or sports.
Variety console gamer, but I tend to gravitate more towards retro games, probably. I own every non-obscure system out there (the most obscure things I have are a Nomad and 32X), but usually use my RetroPie since I can play tons of stuff on there instead of jumping between consoles. Also I can use translation patches, so I have multiple Japanese games and ROM hacks.
