ZOOは、1990年代に活動した、伝説のダンス&ボーカルユニット。
ZOO is a legendary Japanese dance group formed in Tokyo in 1989 by 8 dancers who joined a dance contest TV show “DADA L.M.D”. Members were widely known as tough dancers at the time in Japan. The group reached its height of popularity in the early 1990s. The ZOO’s dance was heavily influenced by the new jack swing style of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
ZOO released their first single, " Careless Dance ", TV show “ Groovin’ Scene DADA ” opening theme, in May 1990. Their fourth single, " Choo Choo TRAIN ", East Japan Railway Company TV commercial song, reached No. 3 on Oricon chart, selling 1.05 million copies. ZOO rapidly became widespread in Japan and gained popularity as a dance group representing Japan at that time.
ZOO disbanded in December 1995. Hiro became a leader of a popular dance crew " EXILE " in 2001. Yuki left the group without joining the second single ” GIVEN ” and has performed as a vocalist of a popular dance crew “ TRF ” since 1993
