I was asked to cover Soap the Hedge years ago, but he didn't play nice with my control scheme and I declined the request. But he's had a major overhaul that supposedly fixed many of my problems, so now I can finally ask: is he worth the wait?
In today's episode of Ring Racers, I took on the Skate Cup!
Let me put its record straight: this late, second-rate Cup made me extremely irate, with its spate of courses made purely to frustrate. Abate any hopes for competent racing, or else you'll be made to wait.
In today's episode of Dr Robotnik's Ring Racers, I took on the Genesis Cup! Far from being the exciting introduction of a new frontier of racing, it's more of a penultimate act: less Genesis, more Ephistle to Philemon.
What do you mean, "the name comes from a games console?"
I have played a great many SRB2 mods for this channel. Inevitably, you begin to see similarities between different mods in a sample pool this large, and I have used these similarities to construct seven character "archetypes".
Want to find out what separates the Flyer from the Maverick? Then watch on...
In today's episode of Dr Robotnik's Ring Racers, I took on the Power Cup! From the glimmering streets of the City of the Sin to the dingy depths of Pestilence, everybody was Super Sonic Racing, All Around the World.
In this episode of Dr Robotnik's Ring Racers, I took on the Bomb Cup! It has been a long time since I felt this much malice towards a Cup, but this one... ooh, it tested me.
Sage is one of the best Sonic characters in years, and is representative of all the many ways the franchise has begun to improve after more than a decade of mediocrity and flops. Can her appearance in SRB2 live up to that? Unfortunately, I think that could be a debatable topic.
In today's episode of Dr Robotnik's Ring Racers, I took on the Shrink Cup! Sorry if I sound a little off in this one: I had a sore throat while recording.
In today's episode of Dr Robotnik's Ring Racers, I took on the Swap Cup! As it turns out, playing Ring Racers right when Crossworlds releases is a bad idea: audience retention is going to be in the bin, and racing skills don't really transfer between such different games.
After such a long break, it would have been prudent of me to pick a major character to cover upon my return - perhaps Sage, considering Crossworlds' imminent release would guarantee some SEO results. But... someone did request I cover Nick WolfFang, so... maybe next time.
(YouTube's being YouTube and not allowing me to embed an image, but there is a release graphic which you can see on all of my other socials.)
