I know it's been a while, but letting you know I've been busy and been wanting to focus more on development than videos. However, I feel like it's time to start sharing that I've been working on something new for a while now.
I joined the Epic MegaJam this week. I basically made an airship simulator and I thought it looks pretty cool. My original idea was a little more ambitous than this, I wanted to have a bunch of random events that would inactivate certain parts of the ship, which is why there are so many controls, but there was simply not enough time so airship simulator it is. The idea was to be able to have something like "Keep talking and nobody explodes", where one person would have a manual for the ship so they could explain to another person how to fix it from different error signals etc. But hey I'll explain it more thoroughly in an upcoming devlog.
Short update: working on atmospheric prototypes for my horror game this evening. Also been looking at a bunch of horror stuff for inspiration the entire evening, being annoyed that the dog keeps barking for seemingly no reason. Turns out he wasn't barking for no reason, the front door was wide open so now I'm all paranoid there's someone in the house haha
I guess that means I've had enough of the horror inspiration for today..
I should also mention that I've recently moved to a house and have not been able to work on my game for the last month or two as much as I had wanted to. The first month I was not even able to use my computer, and my devlogs have therefore been affected. Hoping to get some new videos out soon though. I'm gonna try to keep focus on my main game for the future devlogs so keep a look out for those!
Anyways, what do you think of the look of the environments?
Hey guys! What kind of content are you interested in seeing from me? I've been doing a lot of experimental stuff that has nothing to do with my main game lately. Would you rather see me do more devlogs on my main game or something else entirely? Let me know below or in the comments!
yo! New video coming tomorrow for how I make my 3d assets. If you're wondering what's been taking so long it's due to this monster timeline (monster for me anyways). Hope you'll enjoy it at least (or I'll cry). Don't make me cry plz :(
My next video will be on my favorite way of creating 3d models like the ones in the image. This is not really going to be a tutorial but more of an informational video of the tools and tricks I use in Blender 3d to create assets like these. I hope this will be of interest to a lot of you! Let me know if I should cover something specific! :)
