Cool! A neat late-night #ShinyPokemon #Kilowattrel to add to our shiny sightings! And I've learned that, if I engage a shiny in battle, their shiny colors get added to my Pokédex without needing to catch or KO it!

I know a lot of Trainers are probably gunna wunna disown me over this, but I've reached a point in my Pokémon career where I no longer care about catching #ShinyPokemon.

Especially as I take my previous generations' teams around the Paldea region, I now feel bad about the thought of snatching a Pokémon away from its family, its friends, and the life it's always known just to sit in a dusty old box of mine simply because of its rare coloring.

But, this doesn't mean I'm going to stop capturing them - in photos, that is! Coincidentally, the first two I've come across since making this decision have been a Psyduck and its evolution, Golduck. Admittedly, these first two photos aren't great, but I'll be trying to snap some better ones from future encounters!

So... long time no see, huh, folks? I wanted to let everybody know that I do, indeed, still exist. I've been relaxing with my downtime away from the public eye, just doing my own thing ever since my long-time disappearance. I'm pretty sure burnout is the cause of my vacation from YouTube - I think the self-imposed feelings of responsibility and obligation finally began to overwhelm what fun I had previously enjoyed about video creation.

This post isn't meant to be a "I'm back!" announcement, but more of a "I'm still around in my more limited online capacity" one. If you don't follow me on Instagram and (to a much lesser extent) Twitter, you can always do so at ProfessorChas on each platform. I've been posting there semi-regularly whenever I have something interesting or funny to share.

Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to the release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A - so much so that I've finally completed all of my main team's Hisuian adventures, and am currently rounding out their Galarian journey in Pokémon Shield. They've all earned their Galar Champion ribbon by now; all that's left is to get as many Battle Tower ribbons as we can earn. Check out this pic - these 30 Pokémon have beaten Leon in the Battle Tower already! Once I've become content with the number of Battle Tower ribbons they have (I know not every single one will have the power to win one), it's off to the Paldea region, when I plan to finally get the DLC!

My current hope is to get back to video creation with the Violet DLC and Pokémon Legends: Z-A. We'll see if I have the drive to do so when the time actually comes to take the plunge into those games, but I'm certainly leaning that way.

It's time for another Good Idea, Bad Idea.

Good Idea: My shipment containing Pikmin 4 arrived yesterday, earlier than was most recently estimated by the shipping company. So yey, I now have the actual physical game copy within my grasp!

Bad Idea: Since I wasn't expecting to have it until late-day Thursday at the earliest, I've already got a busy schedule with other tasks to tend to for today. I'll see if I can hustle my bustle to get them done ASAIC, but if not, the Pikloventure shall begin tomorrow posthaste!
