I sent you a text, but not sure it went through, Mike.
Yesterday, I had one of the scariest moments in my life. My mom went to visit my uncle, who was in the hospital to have surgery, yesterday. She left at 4:30 p.m. to get back home before dark. At 7:30 p.m., my aunt calls me and says my mom wasn't answering her phone, and she was worried about her. I called my stepdad, and she wasn't home. She should have been home in, at the most, 2 hours.
I started packing to head to my mom's, which was over an hour away. I called my sister to let her know what was going on. She began the phone calls trying to report a silver alert and to get Highway Patrol to help look for her.
I get on the road and my sister, aunt and stepdad and I kept in touch, as I drove the unfamiliar drive, because my son and I just moved to my area 3 months ago.
I was more than halfway to my mom's when my sister called and they had found her. She was in an accident. Her car totaled. But no one would tell us anything other than my mom wasn't listed by her name, just as FLASH TRAUMA.
The hospital was still more than 2 hours from my mom's and I now had to take a detour still to pick up my stepdad. I get another call, and my sister was bawling. What she's learned was through another hospital employee who didn't work the ER because they wouldn't answer her questions or phone calls. The lady told her that a FLASH TRAUMA meant unresponsive. We were both torn to pieces. I sped up to get to my stepdad quicker. We decided I would tell me stepdad after I arrived at their house to pick him up.
Just as I turned onto the hwy to their house, a nurse from the ER calls me and said that apparently, I had been given false information. My mama was there, under a FLASH TRAUMA, BUT she was ok except for being banged up and with a broken collarbone. I was so relieved!
I picked up my stepdad and we headed to Charlotte, N.C. to pick up my mom. They said she could be released as soon as we arrived.
All she could remember was she was changing lanes, looked back to make sure there was no cars coming up beside her, and someone in front of her had changed lanes also and slowed down. She hit them really hard. The whole front end of her vehicle was smashed in and all air bags deployed. She has burn marks on her wrist and a couple of fingers, as well.
We spent the day driving to Pinehurst and in a surgeons walk-in clinic. We were told she definitely needs surgery. The collarbone is broken and displaced. So, we find out when that happens next Tuesday.
All I can say is GOD IS GOOD! Please pray for my mama and our family as we go through this. GOD BLESS. 🙏🏻♥️

If someone tells you that there's "Manuka bees or trees/shrubs" in a country other than New Zealand or Australia, it's most likely false.
The "trees" are small flowering trees or shrubs, not huge trees.
