Shalawam family. Remember, much of what we've learned has been through repetition that someone else told us. How did you learn your ABC's, how to count, how to spell your name, the days of the week, the months on a calendar etc. So it is when it comes to what we believe and been taught about The Most High Yah. Many of us got our religious start in Christianity. We were taught things contrary to Yah's truth. We were conditioned to believe we could eat whatever we want, live however we want, be with whoever we want to be with. After all, when it was all said and done, all we had to do was say two magic words. I repent. Now that we have been awakened to Yah's truth, we know those things were in direct opposition to Yah's way. Remember they taught us we don't have to acknowledge His feast days, keep His laws, statutes and commandments? We believed it because we trusted those who were teaching us and we thought they knew the truth. We now know that the Israelites and Judah were never Christian. This is not who our ancestors were. They were people who followed Yah's precepts, laws and standards. Christianity came in as an approved Religion under Constantine. During slavery, if our ancestors wanted to live they either converted or died. Many chose to die, while some converted. During slavery, our names were taken from us, including the name of The Most High Yah. Remember the scene in Roots where Kunta Kinte was beaten until he said his slave name? This is how it started. Who would continue to use the true name when they saw what doing so would get them? Now the scriptures foretold that we would be in the land of our captors, forget who we are, forget our language and Yah's true name. Many of us were convinced through Catholic Christianity that Yah's name is really the one they put in what we call the Bible. If the people in the book did not speak English, do you really think the mother of Yahawashi gave Him an English name? How would you feel if someone called you a different other than your given birth name? Then to add insult to injury, you tell the person your true name and they answer you by saying I'll keep calling you by whatever I want to because there are different variations to your name. Will you say ok that's fine? Ever been called the N word ? How did it make you feel? Did you smile and tell the person thank you, that's a wonderful name you just called me. I think I'll continue calling myself by that name. The situation we see among those who were part of Christianity and have awakened to Yah's truth is that their mindset is still one of a Christian. We cannot look at scripture with an American mindset. This is why many people are struggling with living according to Yah's truth. Yes we are in the land of our captors, but our mindset can still be of who we really are. Judah. People of The Most High Yah. If you keep His Feast Days, follow His laws, statues and commandments, which are instructions that were given to His Hebrew people. Why continue to use His Christian name. You are not a Christian. Or are you?
