Disabled and Prepping is all about how I get prepared for life-changing events while on a fixed income. I'll show you what I do and the things I get to get prepared. How I stockpile items and how I use other resources to help me get my prepping items.
People who are on a fixed income sometimes think they can't afford to prepare. However, it's possible to prepare and be on a fixed income. Even though putting preps away is hard for most of us living with limited funds. However, just by putting a little bit away, a little at a time, we can get a stockpile put together and the preps needed if a life-changing event happens.

Well this is the first time that Mood has mixed up my order with somebody else. Thankfully both of us must have sleep issues. This package came with Sleepytime hot cocoa and two sleepy time advanced gummies. And when I called the company to report the mix-up because the bag they shipped it in had my address but the box was to go to Virginia beach somewhere. Anyways I contacted the company and they said that I could keep this package. All I had to do was send them a photo of the items in the Box along with the shipping info that comes in the box. The lady that fix this for me said that she's hoping the other person got my package because then at least she would have sleepy time gummies seeing that she ordered sleepy time items. But with this mix-up I get to try the sleepy time hot cocoa. I sent them the information they wanted and my order should be reshipped out very soon. But in the meantime I get to try the items I received. So Merry Christmas to me. 😁

I found out today from homestead tessie's channel that Kim from the wellness homesteader passed away. To help me with my protein intake while on the Mounjaro I've started using an app called Daily Protein. It even has a way to calculate how much you actually need based on your height, weight, age, and activity level. And there's a variety of different ways to input the food items to find the proper protein amount it is. So with this app it should help me keep a good amount of protein in a day as long as I can find a way to do it so I don't feel uncomfortably full. But with the app I can find out how much protein I have had and how much I still need to try to get in per day. This app can also track other things but I am more concerned with the protein to keep my muscle mass so that this medication doesn't take it from me. I know that there has been some concerns over this and I am taking active steps to work this out. 😊

My latest mounjaro update. Well it's time for letting the doctor know how I'm doing and also a new weigh in. I seem to be only able to eat one meal a day which is around 3:30 or 4pm when I get hungry so by the time I get something made it's usually about 4 or 4:30pm. I do have a cup of coffee with some MTC oil in it shortly after I get up. Occasionally just before bed I get a little hungry so I have a hard boiled egg. That way I stay away from snacks. I have had a few side effects like a sluggish digestive system which can cause constipation. Other side effects of had on the 5 mg is indigestion, lightheadedness or dizziness, I'm also extremely exhausted, and I'm pretty sure it has increased my pain level. Because I seem to be in more pain lately. And today was weigh-in day and unfortunately I'm very swollen today for some reason. So my numbers were as good as I really would have preferred. My scale said I only lost 2.5 lb this last round. But I do have to remind myself that I am swollen so I'm trying not to get too down on myself because 2.5 lb is still weight lossed.
