i just had the best experience at a new (and the only) comic store in my town

so i walk in and i walk up the the guy working, it’s just me and him, and i ask “hey, im a big mcu fan and i want to get into comics, do you have any suggestions for starting off?”

he gets a little excited and shows me some new ones, some old ones, and some of batman x marvel. i make a small comment on how i like deadpool so they looked cool (there were a lot of deadpool ones)

so he shows me a couple old marvel ones cause i told him i really like the original six, he shows me an avengers one and a black widow one, and so i pick out five marvel ones (first picture) while he’s in the back doing something

i go to the counter, pay, and before i leave he goes “actually, im gonna send you home with this” and just gives me a free comic (second picture)

i love you random man

i lowkey might read them all tonight, go back tomorrow to get a couple more, and ask for an application
