Ever wondered why we're all about the "X" here at SimpleShot?

See, the letter X has always been one with some significance to Nathan, founder of SimpleShot. There's deep family significance behind this letter.

Did you know there were two other slingshot companies before SimpleShot? There were. First, Nathan founded and owned Double X Designs, LLC and designed slingshots from that company. Next was FlippinOut Slingshots which really started the ball rolling into the world of slingshots. You may remember FlippinOut as the producer of the most amazing hand-made slingshots in the world. It's what really kicked off the modern craftsman slingshot movement.

Yep, that was Nathan. SimpleShot wasn't a company yet, but something had started. It was called FlippinOut.

And finally, in 2012 (MMXII) SimpleShot was born as a way to enlarge the footprint into the world of slingshots and to enable other slingshot people to come into the fold. FlippinOut remained active for a while as the maker of the most amazing custom hand made slingshots in the world. SimpleShot came along to bring in other designers and to make sure the world had access to creative slingshots designed by the greatest minds in the world of slingshots.

But back to the topic. You'll see the X in both logos of FlippinOut as well as SimpleShot. Look closely and you'll see more, but the X is a clear foundational element of both logos.

The X has always been a brand mark for us. Now you know why. And maybe you'll never see the SimpleShot logo the same again. (Do you see all three things: the slingshots, the X;s and the S?)

No matter what, slingshots are going to steal the show in 2022, Year X.

We've updated our pricing this year. As you've noticed, we've got to whole dollar amounts on our pricing.

No more 99 cent pricing. Just clear dollar prices.

And this year: no sales.

The price you see today is the price you will see tomorrow and every other day this year.

This serves us and you better.

👍 Our team. Sales are the #1 stress on our team. Without them, there's no need to wait to make a purchase (and our team won't be slammed all at once around the holidays.)
👍 Logistics. When we have one big sale a year, we end up being the busiest when our carriers are busiest. And that means a few things, not the least of which is that your precious slingshot order has a higher likelihood of being delayed or even lost.
