A: well I guess so....I mean, I'm a songwriter at heart...a topliner. What's that? I’m a topliner ..which means I write the lyrics and melodies that sit on top of existing music. I take instrumentals, tracks, or beats and create the story, vocal flow, and emotional hook that bring them to life.
My focus is on capturing feeling, crafting memorable melodies, and writing words that connect. I work fast, across genres...from Americana and country to soul, dream pop, and electronic... always tailoring the topline to the mood and heart of the music.
At the end of the day, my job is simple:
Find the song’s truth, write the melody it’s asking for, and make people feel something when they hear it.
I use AI like a session singer and session band....but I craft everything....that's the human touch.
Before the full story of the Texas floods reached me, something stopped me in my tracks and asked me to write. The lyric “It was 4 AM when the waters came” came to me before I knew that’s exactly when the flooding began.
