My thanks to the fine team of professionals at ‪@NextLevelHiFi‬ in Wayne, IL... They put up with my insanity - and even indulged me in my Espresso Martini recipe, as we spent the afternoon and evening listening to the Børresen Acoustics T5 Silver Supreme Editions, and enjoyed a meal together. Check it out...

In mid-February, NextLevel HiFi, of Wayne, IL, allowed me to be the first to experience the latest addition to the Børresen Acoustics family of their M series of loudspeakers, the M2. This is their chronicle of my visit… My sincerest thanks to Tyler Mueller and Josh Jendryka, of NextLevel HiFi, and Peter Hansen, Audio Group Denmark’s North American Sales Manager, for providing me that honor and such a fantastic listening experience. Enjoy...

Hello everyone... Apparently, at the last minute, one of the songs playing in the video was blocked by the copyright holder. I will be re-editing the video and reuploading soon. Stand by...my apologies.

I have a surprise for all my subscribers...

Tonight at midnight EDT, a recording made in my reference system with the newly introduced Børresen X3 Loudspeakers, the $11,000 über overachiever from Audio Group Denmark, using a new stereo microphone will drop at the channel.

I'm testing the sonics using this mic in preparation for covering High-End Munich, just weeks away now. I look forward to bringing you more of these "In Room" recordings, both of other gear that passes through my system, and from shows like the upcoming High-End Munich and Pacific Audio Fest.

I look forward to your feedback...

With the recent change in production of my content, I stopped tipping my libation at the opening of every episode. To that matter, I've had some requests for the "return of the martini."

What do you say? Reinstate my cocktail, or let it go?

Hello everyone. The pressure to finish Part One of my Capital Audiofest Show Report for Enjoy the Music, combined with some bad weather and some appointments will prevent me from having an episode drop at the typical time of 9:00 AM tomorrow morning.

I'm working now to get it done, and with any luck, it will drop before the end of the day tomorrow, or at the latest, sometime Monday. Thanks for your understanding. More soon...

Hello everyone. I'm sorry to say that the demands on my time, including my attendance at the Pacific Audio Fest in Seattle, WA, and writing up my show report, as well as my other daily responsibilities, have prevented me from having the time to create an episode for this week! My apologies...

Watch for several upcoming episodes over the next weeks dealing with this remarkable inaugural audio show in the Pacific Northwest...as well as other topics.

Hello everyone... I just want to let you all know that Episode 77 is still in post-production based on when I had time with my guest this week and because my editor's plate has been REALLY full! But it will be up either late today or first thing tomorrow. Thanks for your patience! See you all tomorrow and watch for the changed-up martini!

Way back in the mid-1970s, the very first SERIOUS turntable I was able to afford was the B●I●C 980. It was unique in a number of ways, offering belt drive as well as RCA signal outputs instead of a captured patch cord, so you could use ANY interconnects you liked. It had adjustable electronic pitch control on the front panel and offered an "advanced" synchronous 24-pole, 300 RPM motor, offering one of the most stable speeds of its era.

I just picked up this B●I●C 980 - in REMARKABLY clean condition for being nearly 50 years old. My original back in '74 had the plastic base, but this one came with the "optional" WB20 real wood base!

Yeah, this is a wonderful trip down memory lane, and is my next vintage audio project... Let’s see what a set of contemporary interconnects, a Japanese MC cartridge designed by Hisayoshi Nakatsuka, renowned cartridge designer now designing the highly respected ZYX cartridges, and really careful setup, can do for this remarkable turntable from yesteryear!
