Eden Prairie High School has a number of performing groups including five concert bands, three jazz bands, marching band, chamber winds, three percussion ensembles, three orchestras, and five choirs. The music program currently serves over 800 students. Additionally, EPHS offers classes in Music Theory, the History of Rock and Roll, World Drumming, Adaptive Music, and a Music Listening Club. The Eagle Marching Band has placed among the best in the region including state runner up and Bands of American St. Louis Super Regional Finalist. The EPHS Percussion Ensemble was invited to participate at Bands of America Natinal Percussion Festival in 1997 and 2010. The program's goals are to promote personal and musical growth by performing literature of the highest quality. The EPHS Wind Ensemble has performed at the Bands of America National Concert Band Festival, the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, and at the Minnesota Music Educators Association Midwinter clinic.
