This channel exists for Christians who struggle with freedom & security.
I languished 20 YEARS AS A BELIEVER IN JESUS. But he led me to freedom from gender confusion and salvation insecurity.
The rest you crave is in Jesus, not a formula, nor in a religion, but in a relationship with your Maker. Don’t give up, even if you're tired. I found the light at the end of the tunnel, and it’s not a train.

Grace Is Good News!
THE WORST SICKNESS I'VE HAD IN 20 YEARS -
I keep seeing Jim Carrey's character from "Liar, Liar", when asked how he's doing,(trying to defend a morally bankrupt client without his usual lies) respond- "I've slipped into the 7th circle of hell..."
While I imagine such a place is much worse than mine at present, it is tempting to give that same answer when asked how I'm doing right now.
First of all, it came on like wild dogs attacking, hitting me so hard & fast, I didn't know what was happening. But soon I realized a fever, chills & a nasty cough was coming to bed with me.
On day 2, it also included terrible nausea. I could barely drink anything, much less think about food. I'm still having trouble sucking on cough drops that have never bothered me before! It's very reminiscent of the constant "gagginess" I experienced during pregnancy. Thankfully, I'm able to eat again.
I think the fever left on day 4. But the flu will not be forgotten! In the fever's place I got severe congestion, the likes of which I've never seen before..No oral decongestant would touch it. I'm talking complete blockage of the breathing holes people!
I opted temporarily for nasal spray. NOTHING ELSE WORKED. I've blown my nose so much, I could purchase stock in Kleenex and Vick’s.
My voice is non existent. I've tried to make phone calls and I can't be heard. I literally try willing myself to make sound and barely anything comes out! So unfortunately, though I'm more than ready mentally to make a new video, I do not have the cooperation of the rest of me. I dare not speak anyway for more than 2 minutes or relentless coughing will take over.
I so hope to be back in the saddle soon. Pray for me to be able to. I miss our little chats!

Is Paul an untrustworthy guy? Should we be worried that his words oppose those of Jesus??? You may wonder why I care so much. So what? Some people think he's heretical, Kathleen. Just move on. But upon more research, I'm seriously disturbed. You really don't understand how deep the rabbit hole goes here. If Paul is wrong, the whole Gospel folds! Why? Watch my next video on the New Testament smackdown to find out.

When Mama Prayed
Throughout history, we find examples of praying moms. From biblical times, the faithful Hebrew mom Hannah pleaded with the Lord for a baby and was granted a son — Samuel, whom she devoted to God, leaving him as a young boy to be raised by the temple priest. Samuel became a great priest and prophet himself (even the namesake of two books of the Bible!).
Fast forward to 18th century England and its American colonies. Susannah Wesley, a devout Christian, dedicated herself to personal growth and prayer amidst the distractions of a large family — 19 children in all –- taught them the utmost importance of spiritual discipline. From among those children rose John Wesley, a fiery preacher of “The Great Awakening.” Today, stories still abound of moms on their knees.
In 1960, the mother of toddler Curry Blake debated with God over the future of her son’s life after he was run over by a car. His very existence hung in the balance before he turned 2. But she was undeterred, believing as she did that he was destined to have a life of healing ministry. Today, Blake oversees John G. Lake Ministries. One of many miracles Curry has seen is raising his own daughter from the dead!
Moms and grandmothers are known for their perseverance in prayer, despite dismal circumstances. My grandmother watched me struggle in my teens with anorexia for 7 long years. Gaunt and discouraged, I finally abandoned my “perfect” 4.0 collegiate pursuits to check myself into life saving treatment at age 19. I not only discovered salvation from my sins, but gained a new perspective that literally saved me from death. I know Grandma was behind the scenes, daily lifting me up to Jesus. She learned her prayers were more effective than her pestering!
To all you Moms, Mommies, Mamas, Mimis, Nanas, Grandmas, Grannies, Gigis, Abuelas, Babushkas, or whatever other name which may have been bestowed upon you by your beloved babies…thank you! You are so important. Your prayers are indeed heard! Your Heavenly father is listening and answering. So keep ‘em coming!

Though I have not been myself to see this latest move of the Holy Spirit at Asbury University, I have a yearning to experience it. One thing I have learned about God over the years, if nothing else, He is always willing to show up and surprise!
Praying recently I was reminded He is always near to me; never far away. He lives in me. It is not that one day, I "self actualized" or realized my inner divinity. No. I was drawn by the Holy Spirit and through the Gospel I saw clearly that I was full of sin and without hope in the world. But God...
Receiving Him through the finished work of Jesus, I became a New Creation. God has chosen to dwell in this human temple, instead of one built with stone. And so, while I may not be able to join my brothers and sisters in Kentucky, I can still connect with the One they are worshipping right now.
Always willing to "tabernacle" with His people, often much more so than they, He continues to give glimpses of the glory to come.
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end."
- Ecclesiastes 3:11
