This channel is about ways to build foundation walls and concrete walls without going through the tedious expensive wall forming and stripping process. The latest technology, SpaceCrete, is a method to pump concrete into place to build walls without needing forms to be in place - concrete that defies gravity! A relatively normal concrete is batched at the plant, delivered in a normal cement-truck, and then pumped into place at the jobsite as usual. Simultaneously, various admixtures are injected into the pump line, and intermixed inline - this modifies the concrete to give it the zero-slump-while-workable property. Forms and form ties etc are not in the way of placing rebar (which can be very intensive in some seismic zones), making seismic compliance easier. In this video a 1970s Mayco C30 grout pump is used - not a pump meant for stiff mixes. With a more powerful pump, this method will be much faster, easier, cleaner, and less expensive than shotcrete. Thank you for watching!
